Charity tribute night to iconic club |
A 17th century hall in the Ponteland countryside will host a fabulous disco event next month, in support of Cancer Research UK.
Kirkley Hall, in association with Disco Dust Productions, will host ‘54 in the Country’ a tribute to the famous 70s New York nightclub Studio 54. The event will take over the Main Hall with a rare mix on thunderous disco, VIP indulgence, a drag queen hostess, live entertainment, food at midnight, disco girls and boys and many more surprises from the Studio 54 era.
54 in the country will feature a live Disco Diva and extraordinary dancers, whilst a chill out zone will provide an escape from the dancing mayhem complete with sumptuous seated relaxation and a video montage including a silent projection of the 1998 Mark Christopher film ‘54’ .
Micheal Heatley, Entertainment Director, Disco Dust Productions, who jointly thought up the idea, said: “We decided to put on an event that would not only pay homage to a landmark nightclub from the dizzy days of disco but also benefit a valuable charity such as Cancer Research UK.
“We wanted to provide the re-birth of this famous club with a suitable twist with a difference and Kirkley Hall provided the perfect venue for this. We expect the night to be a glittering sell-out so people wanting to attend should get their tickets sooner rather than later!”
The event takes place on Saturday 21st November, 8.30pm until late.
Tickets cost £15 per person, with a percentage of the total ticket sales being donated to Cancer Research UK. To book your ticket, contact martin.5.williams@btinternet.com or Graeme Cook on 01670 841235 or 07944 850114.
