Swap till you drop at Kirkley Hall |
Shopaholics can swap till they drop at a special clothes swapping event at Kirkley Hall next month.
Jenny B’s Style and Sparkle Swop Shop will come to the Hall on Friday 12th June, where guests can trade their unwanted clothes and accessories with other guests.
Jenny Bersin, of Jenny B Style & Image Consultancy, Stocksfield, will give a style talk ‘Creating Style with Sparkle’, helping individuals to select items that will suit them.
She said: “Most of us wear just 20% of our wardrobe, 80% of the time. Half the things in people''s wardrobes don''t actually suit them, yet they often find it difficult to let go of clothes due to emotional ties.
“These events are getting more and more popular in the current economic climate, with people looking for new ways to make their money stretch further. The swop shops are an ideal way to refresh your wardrobe without the hefty price tag.”
Guests are asked to bring along a maximum of three items of clothing, accessories or shoes.
All items should be freshly laundered and in good condition, clearly marked with the size.
